The Gift that Keeps on Giving Annual Scholarship
The Gift that Keeps on Giving was established by Angie Barrington Jeter C'91 in 2016 to assist young women financially matriculate through Spelman. Over $30,000 has been donated to The Gift that Keeps on Giving by so many of my/our Spelman Sisters (mainly from the class of 1991), family, and friends. While The Gift that Keeps on Giving is currently an annual scholarship, the goal is to get it endowed by May 1, 2021 so it will be a lifetime gift to the college as well as our beautiful Spelman sisters who so desperately need our assistance.
When you make your gift to Spelman, please consider designating it to The Gift that Keeps on Giving to help future Spelmanites fulfill their dream of graduating from Spelman College!
Message from the Founder
"I am incredibly passionate about raising money for Spelman as being able to attend Spelman College and be a part of the amazing sisterhood has been a transformative experience in my life. lt truly is The Gift that Keeps on Giving not only to me but to my family. I love all of my Spelman sisters and will forever be grateful for our sisterhood. Establishing an endowment for The Gift that Keeps on Giving will be a dream come true and I am willing to continue to raise the money to make it happen!"

This amazing young woman is currently a senior who has stated that she would not have been able to stay at Spelman without this scholarship award. Together we have been able to give a Spelman sister $20,000 ($5,000 per year).
